6th International Conference Formal Concept Analysis (ICFCA8)
|Dates||Feb 25, 2008 (iCal) - Feb 29, 2008|
|Submissions:||Sep 14, 2007|
|Table of Contents|
Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) emerged in the 1980s from attempts to restructure lattice theory to promote better communication between lattice theorists and potential users of lattice theory. Since then, Formal Concept Analysis has developed into a growing research field in its own right with a thriving theoretical community and an increasing number of applications in information and knowledge processing including visualization, data mining, analysis and knowledge management. The conference aims to unify theoretical and applied practitioners using Formal Concept Analysis drawing from the fields of Mathematics, Computer and Information Sciences, Software Engineering, Algorithms, Linguistics, Knowledge Representation, and Social Networks among other issues. TOPICS * FCA theory * Lattice Theory * Computer and Information Sciences * Algorithms * Logical aspects of FCA * FCA-based Knowledge Representation * Ontology building * Folksonomies * FCA and Social Networks * Data Mining * Association Rules * Software Engineering * Natural Language Processing with FCA * Lattice Drawing * FCA Tools SUBMISSION AND PUBLICATION We invite contributions focusing on theory and applications of Formal Concept Analysis. Papers of up to sixteen pages may be submitted in the PDF or Postscript format. For each paper, an abstract must be submitted by September 14, 2007. The submission is done via http://www.isima.fr/icfca08/. Authors are requested to follow the formatting instructions for the Springer LNCS style, see http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html.
