The Data Science & Digital Libraries research group was established in July 2017 by the joint appointment of Prof. Dr. Sören Auer with Leibniz Universität Hannover. The research group serves TIB's strategic goal of improving access to and work with information, data and knowledge. The overall objective of the research group is to transform the current document-based knowledge communication in the sciences (Scholarly Communication) into knowledge-based communication ("from papers to knowledge graphs").
