PIMRC 2008 shall expose scientific excellence and technological achievements in present and future wireless communications by gathering the leading scientists, researchers, managers and key market players of all respective areas.

1. Technical Papers

Important Dates:

    * full papers: 3 March 2008
    * acceptance notice: 12 May 2008
    * final manuscript: 2 June 2008
    * presentation: 16-18 September 2008

Paper Format:

Papers need to be uploaded to the EDAS system. Papers should be in English, not exceeding 5 double-column pages (a maximum of one page overlength is allowed which will be charged for), and should follow IEEE paper templates available here. Accepted papers will be published in the IEEE Xplorer. They will be presented either orally or by means of a poster. Unless specifically requested by the submitting author, the decision on accepting a paper in poster format is up to the respective track chairs.

Technical Tracks:

Authors are invited to submit high-quality papers describing original and previously unpublished contributions in a wide range of topics in wireless communications. These topics are clustered in (but not limited to) four categories and are given below.

2. Tutorials

Submission Guidelines:

Tutorials should focus on recent cutting-edge R&D topics and should be self-contained in nature.

3. Workshops

Important Dates:

    * workshop proposal: 15 January 2008
    * acceptance notice: 30 January 2008
    * final manuscripts: 2 June 2008
    * presentation: 15 September 2008

Submission Guidelines:

Workshop organizers are invited to submit high-quality workshop proposals on novel and emerging topics related to the general focus of the main conference to Cedric WestphalThis e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  by using this form. The organizer(s) of accepted workshops will need to prepare their own website (either hosted externally or by the IEEE), as well as CFP and list of TPC members. Papers need to be uploaded to the EDAS system and will go through the usual review process to ensure a high quality. Papers should be in English, not exceeding 5 double-column pages (a maximum of one page overlength is allowed which will be charged for), and should follow IEEE paper templates available here. Paper submission and notification deadlines are up to the workshop organizer(s); however, final papers are due by 2 June 2008.

4. Special Sessions

Important Dates:

    * session proposal: 15 January 2008
    * acceptance notice: 30 January 2008
    * final manuscripts: 2 June 2008
    * presentation: 16-18 September 2008

Submission Guidelines:

The organizer(s) of accepted special sessions will need to take care of the invitation of high-quality papers, where a special session ought to accommodate five papers. Papers need to be uploaded to the EDAS system and will go through the usual review process to ensure a high quality. Papers should be in English, not exceeding 5 double-column pages (a maximum of one page overlength is allowed which will be charged for), and should follow IEEE paper templates available here. Paper submission and notification deadlines are up to the special session organizer(s); however, final papers are due by 2 June 2008.

5. Panels

Submission Guidelines:

6. Co-Located & Co-Timed Events

IEEE PIMRC 2008 will be preceded by AdHoc-NOW 2008, which is the 7th International Conference on AD-HOC Networks & Wireless, to take place in Nice from September 10-12, 2008. The two conferences AdHoc-NOW 2008 and IEEE PIMRC 2008 give you an opportunity to have a fruitful and exciting stay at the French Riviera.

IEEE PIMRC 2008 will be preceded by WPMC 2008, which is the 11th International Symposium on Wireless Personal Multimedia Communications, to take place in Lapland, Finland, from September 8-11, 2008. The two conferences IEEE PIMRC 2008 and WPMC 2008 give you an opportunity to have a fruitful and exciting stay in Europe.
