I’m glad to see small bssineuses in solidarity with Occupy. But it needs to be remembered, any business is exploitative and carries the potential to abuse its employees. Without economic democracy we can’t have any real democracy. I’ve been a worker in independent bssineuses for 15 years. Some were great, but others treated me worse than the big corporations. Research your local bssineuses, ask the employees how they’re treated and find out if you’re truly shopping at a good alternative.
