 TAISA being a meeting point of interest for francophone researchers, Montreal having one of the most cosmopolitan French-speaking communities and being the birthplace of NEWCAS, a joint edition of these conferences is a welcome effort to be held in June 2008 in Montreal, Canada. This collaboration is geared towards advanced research in microelectronics which constitutes the highlights of the NEWCAS conferences in addition to topics regarding analog data and signal processing and their applications that have been well-established in the TAISA conferences. The topics include but are not limited to:

    * Computer and system architectures
    * RF, digital, analog and mixed-signal circuits design
    * Test and verification
    * System-level design
    * Data and signal processing
    * Microsystems, memories, sensors and associated analog processing
    * Mathematical methods and design tools
    * Telecommunications, radio-frequencies and microwaves
    * Neural networks and artificial vision
    * Biomedical Circuits and Systems

Venue

This event will be held in Montreal, well-known for its cosmopolitan community bringing forth a wide variety of cultures reflected in its distinctive urban life, entertainment industry and gastronomy. Its dynamism and charm make it a memorable city to visit and keep its visitors wanting to come back.

Submission

The submission procedure for abstracts, proposals for tutorials, special sessions and exhibits will be found soon at this websites and must follow the guidelines and template to be given. Complete 4-page papers (in standard IEEE double-column format), including title, authors' names, affiliations and e-mail addresses, as well as a short abstract are required. Papers must be submitted electronically in PDF format. Only electronic submissions will be accepted.

Students are encouraged to participate in the best student paper award contest. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings subject to advance regular registration of at least one of the authors.
