The 2nd Multifunctional Nanocomposites & Nanomaterials: International Conference & Exhibition, organized by the American University in Cairo - AUC, in collaboration with Cairo University, will be held on January 11-13, 2008 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. The conference is intended to offer a forum for scientists and researchers to exchange information and ideas and find out the latest developments and trends in the emerging area of Nanotechnology.

It will be among the first nanotechnology conferences to be held in Egypt and the first in Sharm El Sheikh, and as such will take a leading role in linking the local and regional research groups working in nanotechnology-related fields and similar centers abroad. Additionally, it will play a role in bridging the gap between nanotechnologists and mechanical engineers by raising awareness of the importance of nanotechnology applications in mechanical engineering.
