About the Book

Big data is a term for datasets that are so large or complex that traditional data processing applications are inadequate. The significance of Big data has been recognized very recently and has different opinions on its definition. In layman’s term, Big data reflects the datasets that could not be perceived, acquired, managed, and processed by traditional IT and software/hardware tools in efficient manner. Communities like scientific and technological enterprises, research scholars, data analysts, and technical practitioners have different definitions of Big data. Due to this large amount of data arriving at fast speed, a new set of efficient data analysis techniques are required. In addition to this, the term Data Science gained lot of attention from both the research community and the industry. Therefore, Data Analytics is becoming an essential component for any organization. For instance, if we consider Health Care, Financial Trading, Internet of Things, Smart Cities or Cyber Physical Systems, one can find the role of Big Data Analytics. However, with these diverse application domains, new research challenges are also arising. In this context, the aim of this book on Data Analytics is to provide a broader picture on the concepts, techniques, applications, and open research directions in this area. In addition, the proposed publication will serve as a single source of reference for acquiring the knowledge on emerging Big Data Analytics technologies.

Topics of interest are but not limited to: - Introduction to Data Analytics - Big Data Processing - Big Data Classification - Big Data Clustering - Finding Interesting Pattern in Big Data - Anomaly Detection from Big Data - Recent Technologies for Big Data Analytics - Applications in Different Domain - Futuristic Applications and Challenges
